Native from France, Anais grew up surrounded by art. Thanks to her parents who took her around Europe in the most iconic cities, historic buildings and Art Museums. In order to cultivate her passion, Anais studied Art History, Design and Decorative Arts. She proudly graduated of a Bachelor of Fine Arts Diploma at ENSAAMA in Paris.
Her artistic journey took a new twist when she fell in love with Japanese crafts. Anais decided to learn the ancestral technique of Lacquerware, a unique way to embellish all support by adding a multitude of layers composed of resin and pigments. During this time, she worked in Art Conservation to restore antique furniture and objects. Anais also completed various commission works by creating large Art panels for corporate lobbies. In parallel, she sold original artworks in solo and collective exhibitions in Paris and Strasbourg.
By practicing this craft year after year, Anais developed a remarkable sense of colour and a great enthusiasm for abstract.
In 2015, Anais followed her Soulmate and moved in Perth, Western Australia. Embracing a new life, Anais reflected this with her artwork, replacing the Lacquerware technique for the freedom of acrylic and oil painting. Her creations are a celebration of joy with bold colours and strong composition.
